Uns

Poet Nisha Luthra is a theatre director, actor, and playwright from Chandigarh. ‘Uns’ is her first book which is the result of her deeply personal experiences of loss, love, and life at large. Uns meaning friendship, association, the attraction has two parts comprising of 55 poems in total. The first set of 32 poems are dedicated to self-love, ‘uns’ with unrequited love, attractions and expressions. The second set of poems are dedications to the ‘uns’ with others who have somehow shaped poet’s life in many ways. The dedications are also to her mother, father, and sister who all left altogether for their heavenly abode in the same year and rest are to artists like Mita Vashisth, Rani Balbir Kaur, Neelam Mansingh Chowdhry, Arshiya Sethi, etc. who have really shaped her as an artist.
